The nail is coated in adhesive and dipped into coloured acrylic powder, layer by layer, then sealed. No UV or LED curing at any stage, which is the main draw for anyone avoiding lamps.

Rigid gel extensions — strength without the acrylic odour

A dense gel cured under a lamp, strong enough to hold real length. Unlike soak-off gels it will not dissolve in acetone and has to be filed off, which is the trade-off for the durability.

The original extension system — hard, rigid, rebuildable

Powder and liquid monomer sculpted onto the nail or over a tip, hardening in air rather than under a lamp. The most widely offered enhancement, and still the strongest option at extreme length.

An e-file technique that removes dead skin and cuticles precisely, allowing gel to sit closer to the skin. Results last 3–4 weeks with no lifting.

Builder In A Bottle — strength and length without extensions

A flexible gel overlay applied directly to the natural nail. Adds strength and structure, lasts 3–6 weeks, and protects nails while they grow.

Soft gel extensions — lightweight and natural-feeling

Pre-shaped soft gel tips adhered to the natural nail with a gel base. Lighter and more flexible than acrylics, with a seamless finish.

Specialist Japanese gel brands for precision nail art

Gel polish from Japanese brands like Para Gel and Presto — thinner, more flexible and gentler on the nail than western formulations.
